What does therapy involve?

Therapy can help a person become aware of patterns that might be keeping them ‘stuck’ in particular ways of thinking, feeling, or responding. Over time, and with insights developed, a person may then be able to form new and more positive ways of addressing problems and navigating difficulties in their lives. Ultimately, therapy can help a person to see themselves in a different way; one that includes more self-compassion and acceptance, coupled with a sense of being able to better manage and cope with difficulties.

Deciding to embark on therapy can take considerable commitment, but the potential for positive change means this journey can be incredibly worthwhile and rewarding.
